Masse.y), the Minister of Public Works (Mr. (Joules), and the Minister of Lauds (Mr. Guthrie) have arranged to visit tho Palnierston North district to-day for the purpose of inspecting tho route of the suggested Levin-Grentford . railway deviation. Mr. Mnssey is to be eutcrtuiucd at a smoke concert in the Palmerston Opera Houso in the evening, when representations will be made to him regarding this proposed Palmerston railway deviation.

The Minister of Defence (Sir Hoaton Rhodes) has gone to the South Island, and will not return to Wellington Vwfdre tho end of the week.

The Minister of Publio Works (Mr. Coates), after inspecting the route of the suggested Leviu-Greatford railway, deviation to-day, will proceed to the Auckland district. Ho is due back in Wellington about December 10.
