England gave Queensland a hard day's leather-hunting, the visitors piling up 233 more runs than the home side. Bussell ran up a splendid innings of 73, but the featuro of the day's batting was tho two ind a half hours' partnership of Rhodes and Douglas, yielding 174 runs.
