ALLEGED BRIBERY OF JURYMEN

As an echo of tho Easton porjury case, Thomas Martin, ;i labourer, was arrested by Detective Quirke and brought 'beforo the Magisli'ato this afternoon on a charge "that by means of a bribe ho did attempt to inlluonco jurymen not to discharge their duty faithfully in connection with the charge of perjury in which the jury disagreed at Palnierston On November 9." Accused was remanded until December G. Bail was allowed, self in JS2OO and two sureties of jSIOO each.
