SCHOOL COMMITTEE RESIGNS
The members of the Terrace School Committeo have Tesigncd, and though official information on the matter is not availnhlo at this stage, it is understood that the resignation is duo to a difference between the committee nnd the Education Board over the appointment of a teacher. An unoiliciai report is to tho effect that some timo ngo a certain teacher was given a war appointment. The position occupied by this teacher was recently advertised, and the teacher was among the applicants for tho permanent appointment. The Education Board, eo report has it, saw tit to give the position to an applicant lower on the grading list than tho recent holder. Ilenee the difference with the comfiuttco, which body, it is eaid, was responsible for the selection during the war -if the teacher whoso claim it is now supporting.
