Tho formation of the proposed recreation ground on Central Park is not to bo proceeded with, but the present Nairn Street ground is to be re-levelled and returfed, at an esimutcd cost of .£000; this culvert in the gully to tho cast of the park is to be extended, and a good level plav-stntion of about 1} acres is to be formed there. A small recreation ground is also to be formed on the Town Belt to the west of Central Park, near Tanera Crescent, when money is available. Tho forcoinir formed the basis of a recommendation of the Reserves Committee, which was adopted at last night's meeting of the City Council.
