COMMITTEE MEETING, (from Our Own Correspondent.) Carterton, November 20. The general committeo of (the Wairarnpa and East Coast P. and A. Society met at Carterton on Saturday, Mr. James Jloddcr presiding. Tho treasurer's report was adopted, and accounts amounting to ,£1437 )7s. v.oro passed for payment, which included JiUDIi 30. prize money.' An application from tho assistants at the butter-fat competition for &. Gd. and Ite. por hour was loft to the chairman to attend to. Tho Viking l'onnett representatives forwarded n ehequo for prize money to bo distributed as follows:—Corrington Dairy Co., £10; Bolvedcro, £o; PurkvaJe, ja. Messrs. H. J. Booth, Ecilding, and A. If. Darnell, Mustcrton, were accorded a voto of tlianks for their donation of ex- ' peases as judges nt tho late show. Sir Walter Buchanan wrote in reference to the conditions of entry for thrco-year-old Shorthorn heifers, and it was decided that the matter bo Toferrcd to 1 the programme coramitee. It was decided to support tho resolution passed by tho Otogo Incorporated Societies, recognising the excellent work done by tho Board of Agrioulture, and expressing disappointment at tho limited results of recommendations modo by tho board. • Tho secretary reported that ten trophies to tho vnlne of Jjiso had been won outright a+. the late hliow. It was reported that two of the trophies had been promised replaces. Thirteen now members were elected and four resignations accepted.
