Tlie Australian Press Association learns on the highest official authority that tho statement goes very much beyond tlio terms of tlio announcements 'by tho Prime. Minister and Mr. Bonar Law in the Houao of Commons. The meeting will bo on ihe lines of tho Imperial War Cabinet meetings of 1917' and 191 S. It will be remembered that the Prime Minister stated at the time that lie hoped and expected- that thise Tneetinus would become, the accepted convention of the British limpire. The result of these meetings was not, however, to set up ft common executivo of the Empire, nor in any way, to affect the executive authority of each Government or its responsibility to its »\rti Parliament, They were held vith tho object of arriving at a common policy on nutters of urgency and importance to all, by frank and intimato discussion.
