Tho Auckland Association wrote suggesting that a Samoan team should tour New Zealand during the present season. —It was deoided not to approve of the idea owing to tho proposed visit of an Australian team, nnd also owing to tho high cost of travelling. December 25, 27 and 28 weve aputoved as dates for the Shield match between Auckland and JFawke's Bay. It was reported tbnt the Heatlwoto Williams Shield match between Palmers-.-ton. North High School and the Napier High School would probably bo commenced at Palmereton North on December 15. Challenges for the shield had . also been received from tho Christchurch and Wnitaki Boys' High Schools. Consideration of tlis da to for tho pro- ■ posed North v. South. Island match, waa deferred until some finality was reached concerning tho proposed tour of an Aus- , tr&lian team. Various associoSfons wrote approving of the proposal for an Australian team to tour the Dominion this season, concerning whiSli tour it was decided, to mako further inquiries. Messrs. W.' 11. Winsor, ,T. P. Peake, ■ and F. C. Raphael were appointed a committee! to consider tho boundaries of aftrimted associations. Tho following third-class fixtures have ' been transferred to Karori. Pari, owing to grounds not being available at Duppa 6txcet:—lnstitute v. Marist nnd Y.M.C.A. v. Wesley. An additional match, Thorndon v. Bond and Fenwiok, will bo played' at Karori, ami Johnsonvtllo r, Y.M.CiA. D, fourth class, at johneonvllje.
