JUVENILE COURT
BOYS CHARGED AT PEXONE, Qnito a number of juvenile delinquents, whoso ages ranged from 16 to nine years, appeared to answer charees—mainly of theft—before Mr. F. K. Euut, S.M., in tho Petone Juvenile Court yesterday. A 15-year-old lad; for breaking into the timber yard of Messrs. 0. and A. Odlifl, Ltd,, - and stealing therefrom articles valued at £1 12s. 9d„ was sentenced to receive six' Btrokes of the 'biroh, and was oommitted for a term to the .lVoraroa Training Farm. A maintonarioe order of 10s, per week was takon out against the father. The cases of threo boys, aged 11, 13, and 14 years respectively, were, on tho recommendation of tho truant officer, adjourned for three months.

The case of the eleven-year-old oflondor was adjourned for three months. The damage resulting from the oscapade is to bo borne by tho boys' parents in equal proportions. Two brothers, aged 14 and nine years rospeotlvoly, were oharged with tho theft of sums of money amountine to £12 15s. It was stated that at tho instigation of his brother the younger boy had stolen tho money. The Magistrate sentenced tlio 14-year-old oulpr&t to sii strokes or tlio biroh, and committed him to the probation homo for threo months. Threo months' adjournment was granted in tho caae of tlio younger boy.
Two lads (each 13 years) were charged with liayine obtained goods to the value of £1 9s. la. by false representation.
