RACING PERMITS

THE WORK OF THE COMMISSION. The.commission that is to consider the issue and distribution of racing permits will do most of its work in the early months of next year.- Many applications for additional permits, chiefly from cnuiitry racing clubs, were in the- hands of the 'Minister of Internal Affairs Wore, the appointment of the commission was arranged. Other applications are now being received. The commission is expected to make a comprehensive tour of tha Dominion, in order that its members may see for themselves what are the circumstances and requirements of the various districts. Density of population, means of communication and geographical features are among the factors that nave to be considered in .the allocation of pormits on a fair basis.
