FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for southerly breezes veering; by "west to freshening northerlies, and changeable weather generally, with scattered rain. Barometer unsteady, t'alline soon, especially in the south. A disturbance centred in the neighbourhood of the Chatham Islands accounted for high south-west winds, and cold, squally, and showery weather on Saturday i and Sunday.
