Ursula and Matis TlnrwS'wnif "X Want to RnupsK" and the. seniors sang "Goine Up as hcj wheeled Tound in aeroplane formation, and later on Jean M'Leav sanga Brownie ton" varv Jnrettily. Recitations wcr.e ■ oive'ii bv Lav Rmvtb. Mariono A | and Mavis Burgess. Tlio younger girls : jwl Alec Blake took wrt in a nlavette, "The Tntn«ler." with Oka Gil herd as an intrusive dandelion. Alee Blake and Eileen Onshaw sanar a. duet in the school ninr entitled "'Reuse Me. Teacher. Edith Brventon e.s Miss Primrose, an Earlv Victorian teacher, raised manv a hearty laugh. Diirinp the interval Mias Butts and Mrs. Shiror, Mrs. Clapslinw and Mrs.. Blake, were presented with Minutiuets of roses. Tn a brief speech Miss Butts thanked the parents for nil the help thev had Tendered, and Mr. Rhirer and the deacons of Ft. .Tames s for the free use of the Hall. Miss Butts also dwelt on tho great success that had aHended the amalgamation of the two Newtown nrivate schools. St. Catherine'* and Rt. James's, and she hoped that when the Btfrnado boxes were opened, at least .€2O would he sent Home. The sin<ring of "Maoriland," with a chorus and a spirited haka. and the singing of "God Rava the King" brought tho concert to a close.
