PEACE TRAINING TO BE REINTHODTJCED. (Rec. November 13, 5.5 p.m.) Cape Town, November 12. The Pretoria Council of Defence ha§ decided to reintroduce peace training, which was interrupted by the war. It is hoped to renoh the full strength of twenty-five to thirty thousand in four years by voluntary training; if not, recourse will bo had to tho oallot. It is also proposed to creata a permanent force of highly trained men, about two thousand of all ranks and arms, to bo available as a striking force in case of disturbance where the police are inadequate, and to aot as tho spearhead of the citizen force.—Aus.-N.Z.
