COMMONWEALTH SERVANTSAGITATION. Melbourne, November lft. Sir Joseph Cook, commenting on The Commonwealth servants' agitation for the basic wage, said their threats were futile. They were pursuing the way of all that they should not. Mr. Justice StnTfco stated that he would not tolerate public _ servants thwarting politicians' in carrying out their duties. He would single out offenders' and deny them privileges as far as his jurisdiction went.—Press Assn.
