WATERSIDE WORKERS' WAGES
NEW AGREEMENT IN SYDNEY. (Rec. Novombor 12, 7.20 p.m.) ' Sydney, November 12. A. conference between representatives of tho Overseas Shipping Association and tho Waterside Labourers' Union agreed upon the following rates: Permanent employees, iil.lls, por week; casual employees 2s. 9d. for day work, 3s. 9d. between 6 p.m. and midnight, -is. Od. between midnight and 7 a.m., os. 3d. durthe supper and breakfast hours, 2s. 6d. in excess of the ruling rates during other meal hours. Tho ogreoment is"to bo retrospective to October 29, and to operate for two years—Press Aesii.
