ASSISTANCE FOR EVICTED TENANTS

The hardships suffered by persons evicted from their homes were again mentioned by Labour members when the House was discussing tho Supplementary Estimates yesterday. V Messrs. ■W. U. .Parry and P. Fraser urged that temporary provision should bo made to meet buch cases. The Prime Minister said that there was some provision, inasmuch as the officers of the Labour Department were instructed to do all they could to assist evicted tenants who were without homes to obtain housing accommodation.
