Gnrland, formerly A.D.C. to Lord Liverpool, and now acting similarly loathe Clover, nor of Fiji, stales that sinco he lias been in the- Islands, he has'had a fori-' night's trip round the gniup, and during niKilhor trip farther alield he visited the Hanks, Torres, Santa Cruz, and Solomon Islands. This trip was full of intorest. and it,seemed to him extraordinary that in the twentieth century so many curious'sights and strange peoples should exist practically unknown lo the outer world.
