AUSTRALIAN RINKS FOR N.Z: Australian bowlors who are .to tour Now Zealand in January and Febuary will leave Sydney for Auckland by tho Mahono on January 13. Tho team will probably consist of 26 players (H of whom will bring their wives). Nominations are to close in Sydney on November 27. It is not generally known how firm a hold bowls has seourod in Now Zealand as compared with tho Australian States. Now Zealand, has approximately 12,000 players this season allied to tho Dominion Association. New South Wales has somo 8500, and Victoria nearly double- that number, 90 that Now Zealand, with a population of a littlo over 1,000.000, has as many bowlers as New South Wales and Victoria together, with their 3,000,000 population. The date of tho Australian team's arrival in New Zealand,will preclude them from- participating in the Dominion Bowling Association's tournament hers in January. Mr. T. Bush (president of the Dominion Association) states that it is yet possible that one riut will bo able to got away a week before tho others to Wellington, in order to take part in the tonrnninont, but on that score he will know nothing definite until next week.
