YACHTING
1 A general meeting of the Port Nioholaon Yaclit Club was held at tlio Boat Harbour on Wednesday. The new rules for the club wrre adopted. In consideration of the amalgamation of tlio Te Euru Yacht Olnb and the To Aro Sailing Club with the Port Nicholson Yacht Club, a new burgee wad adopted. The new burgee preserves the historic Interest connected with each of the three clubß now combined with the Port Nicholson Yacht Club. The burgoo ia quartered by a white crona. Tile upper and lower cantons arc tlack and red respectively. This preserves .the historic colours of the Port Nicholson Yacht Olub as originally constituted in 1884, The outer cantons arc blue, re- ' presenting the Te Aro Sailing Club. The dcrice of nil anchor occupies the centre of the white cross, thus preserving tlio historical interest of the Te Ituru Yaelit Club. The amalgamation, which took place during tho war,' has been a very <rreat advantage to the sport of yacli'.lng in Wellington, and the registration of this new burtrec by the Port Nicholson Yacht Club iB the list act in consolidating tho Interests of the amalgamated bodies.
