MINERS' BALLOT

The Yorkshire miners, by two to one, voted for acceptance of the agreement, Lancashire voted five to one against it. The South Wales vote was nine to five against lOie agreement.
Th? executive met late in the afternoon to receive the full reports. Mr. R. Smillio pointed out llmt under the constitution of the Miners' Federation a iwotliirds majority was necessary for continuance of the strike. The complete figures for the offer were 338,045, and those against it were 346,301 A long discussion followed, and a resolution was adopted that in view of uhe above-mentioned role tho striko be declared off and the men advised to resume work to-morrow, or as soon as possible. —Aus.-N.Z.
