Veltheiin, the Finn who was arrested at Hainpstead for failing to register as an alien, has been sentenced to six months' imprisonment, and ordered' to be deported. Prisoner admitted he was a revolutionary. A manual was found among Jus papers for the instruction of olhccr.s in a British Bed Army. Another document showed tliab .-C2185 had been spent m acquiring firearms, machineguns, and bombs. Jlle police gave evidence about another letter from Sylvia Pankhurst to a wellknown Russian revolutionary, in which she stated that the Communist Party was not large enough or intelligent enough to make capital out of the situation. Sylvia Pankhurst added that stie spoke to Colonel Malone, M.P., who was a member of the Council of the British Socialist Party, and the latter was; now taking steps to absorb the Communists. She stated that the Moscow Inernationalo had promised her ,£3522. A 'node letter found on Veltheim asserted' that it was impossible to successfully do anything in Ireland, or negotiate with the Republican Mission, without money. At present he was usinir .£3OO sent to Irish unions while waiting for uews.

Among his papers was found a_ letter from Sylvia Pankhurst to Lenin, in which she said thai: England was not yet ready for revolution. but was moving swiftly in that direction. Accused was seen in company" with Miss Gilbertson, a British Communist, leaving the home of Colonel L'Estrange Malone, M.P. Mr. Garden, secretary of the Labour Council, announced a combination of the Socialist Party and tho Industrial Workers of the World .under tho title of "Tin* Communist Party," the aim being tocontrol unionism and to endeavour to overthrow Capitalism.
