The Auente-General formed a depute tion to Colonel Amery (Undor-Secretar; for the Colonies), requesting an exten eion of free passages to ex-service omi grants, which would otherwise lapse i' December. : . \ • Colonel Ainer y replied that Lord Mil ner was submitting a proposal to Cabine which he was hopeful would be accept cd. and 1 stated that numerous ex-servic men in different parts of the Empir complained that Jhere were no arrange ments for their reception, and- they wer not furnished with information nor as sisted with employment. Colonel Avnor; proceeded to inoiut out forcibly that th British Government was endeavouring t divert ex-service men from foreign com tries, and it was entitled to expect tha the Dominions would do their part an extend the fullest benefits ofeettlement.-Aus.-N.Z.
