GUARANTEE BILL KEAD A SECOND TIME. (Ree. November 2, 8.30 p.m.) London, November 1. In the House of Commons Mr. F. G. Kelleway, in moving the second reading of the Empire Exhibition 1923 Bill, guaranteeinff ,£IOO,OOO, subject to private (guarantees of half a million being' forblioominsr, stated that' the idea was to demonstrate the Empiro's natural resources. It was « regrettable fact that the rprc-war British trade with the.Dominions was diminishing'. There had been an improvement since tho armistice, but there wore great possibilities for further improvement. . He believed the exhibition would assist in this without raisinj; a fiscal, controversy. The second reading was carried by 205 votes to 30.—Aus.-N.55. Cable Assn.
