At a general meeting of tho Association of Superannuated Public Servants tho following motions were carried:— "That this meeting regrets that the Government is not more explicit in the. information given to tho association as regards the .£IOO,OOO granted to meet the cost of living, or as to how far the nmount would go, but the association w pleasei. that the Government has seen nt to make tho increases retrospective as from April 1. That this meeting strongly protests against tho Government giving a small sum to superannuated servants in New Zealand at the present lime in the shape of a bonus, instead of recognising the just claim of all superannuated servants' for a permanent addition to their present income, till it has been proved that auy lesser sum nowfixed upon will be commensurate with tho amount granted at thp timo that tho ; Superannuation Aot came into fore*.' .y
