As the. result of the Prussian Government terminating the Agreement of 181)0, the miin bitanils of Heligoland enjoyed a number of privileges, including lishiug rights, lil'ty of the islanders have appealed to the British nation, declaring tliey would prefer to be under the British Flag, and requesting the British Government to see that their righls< are maintained.— lleuter.
