Sir,—We superannuated teachers "have boon promised somo consideration, but it seems long in coming, and prices of iiecewitioo remain very high. \Wo are in a parlous state .At the best, tho amount of our superannuation is small, to some not more than .£">o per annum.Befofi lihe war, making both onds.nicor. was, very difficult, but now One might suggest that as a beginning the deductions made in our pensions, when wo accepted relief work at. the request of tho Govern u;nt, should bo returned to us. Why should the pension, which we surely earned, not only by pnyinj substantial sums towards it, but by faithful and streuuous work at. a. poor salary, have deduction made in it bocause we attempted to increase our pensions V taking the relief work so much required. Some say we are "back numbers" and need no consideration (I leavo you, .Mr. Editor, to guess who say ihl*>, but at least, wo have bad a long experience to place at the disposal of authorities.

Tt should .hardly bo necessary for a big outcry ib'bo made before the GovRrnmpnt, will take any steps to make otd and faithful servants le3s anxious and mora comfortablo.
