In order to carry out the scheme the Works Manager is at present inspecting the plants of the leading manufacturers-of Great .Britain and the United States. The popularity oT this engine, which is entirely designed and manufactured at the Com-' • pany's works in Christchurch, is proved by the fact that'the output for the cur- , rent year, is 1160 engines, .representing 3184 horse-power, .as compared with 155 engines, representing G2o' horse-power, in 1915. '.< Local Bodies throughout N.Z...are using Road Rollers, Graders, Stone Crushers, and Concrete Misors supplied by the Company. "■-., Over four 'hundred Dairy Factories in Now Zealand, and many in... South ' Africa, are using machinery and plant manufactured by the Company. Rofrigerating Companies, Fellmongers, and Woolscourers are large users of the Company's products.,..,... The Lyttolton Works have to their credit examples of Railway . Viaducts, and of other Structural Engineering' Work, such as vhydraulic and steam cranes, hydro-eloctric construction work, builders' iron work, and boilers, all,of which-aro to ho seen throughout tha Dominion. Apart from manufacturing, a profitable wholesale trade is carrifd on by • the Company's Hardware Department. The firm also holds several valuable Agencies for British'ivnd American Manufacturers, ' Without theexperiso of numerous blanches, the Company has established throughout N.Z. an efficient selling organisation under the control of tho Company's Sales Manager, thus freoing the Works Management to concentrate all its energies on production and expansion. OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT ISSUE. It is necessary, in order- to take- full advantage of the opportunities for development which are foreseen,, for the Works and Plant of the Company to be extended, and a large amount of capital is required for that purpose which will be partly provided ont of the present issue. . Having regard for dairy machinery, road rollers, tractors, and all other engines,'machines and implements manufactured, and supplied, by the Company, and to the importanceattached in Now.Zealand to the development of our dairy and agricultural resources, the future oilers great scope for the extension of the ■ ,- business carried on by Andersons Limited, and a largely increased output can confidently be expected. The Shares offered to the public are Preferential both as regards dividend and capital, and aro entitled to a cumulative preferential dividend of 7 per cent. - per annum* free, of N;Z. Income Tax.
