LABOUR DAY SPORTS

£ POPULAR FUNCTION. The Labour Day sports, which had been postponed from Monday last on account of the rain, were held at Newtown I'arK on Saturday afternoon. The attendance was eood, and gteat interest was shown in all the events, for which entries were Hood. Bide-Bhows added to the attractiveness of the function, and two bandsthe Watersldera end the Highland Pipersprovided- music- that was much appreciated.
