RIFLE SHOOTING
KARORL CLUB. Members of the Keiori Rifle Club fired the second match of tho first series' at Trenthani last Saturday, at ranges of 500 and 600 yards, ten "shots and sightcr at each range. Tho weather was unfavourable for good shooting, a strong gusty wind prevailing, which developed into a • regular "frali-tail" at GOO yards. Rifleman W. Stanton and li. Preston, both handicap men, headed the list for tho day'a shoot, and Hifieinan E. Daniel,' also a handicap man, put up tho best score oft' the gun. SUBURBS CLUB. The members of tho Suburbs Club I fired the final match of the first series 1 nt ranges' 500 and GOO yawls on Saturday. The shooting was not of a high order, owing to the high wind blowing, tho changes beating- some of the marksmen badly. Tho best individual range scores were made at 500 yards by C. Whi'.cman, A. Swansou, H. Boon, and C. Milroy. Tho best score oft' tho gun was by IF. Boon, with 83, and the top_ score for tho day was made by a junior shot, P. L.. Wilson. Six prizes wero donated for this sories, tho winners being: Whitoman, 266; L., Turner, 261; Spencer, 260; Symonds, 260; Lewis, 259; J. Neal, 259.
