On the arrival of tho body of M'Swiney at Holyhead the stationniaster proceeded to carry out his instructions to transfer the body to a special steamer sailing direct to Cork. Tho Irish Party mado vehement protests, and, after lengthy altercations, the police entered the van, and forcibly ejected a. young man. Miss M'Swiney created a furthor scene, and ehs and another lady were ojectod, and ' the coffin removed by a. large nrmed escort aboard the steamer. Father Walsh states that relatives and others joined hands, encircling the coffin, and were removed amid cries of "bodysnatchers.'' Owing to tho refusal of the Eilots to assist, the steamer landed the odv at Queenstown. The raihvaymen refnsed to take tho military guard with M'Swiney's coffin. The coffin was borne on the shoulders of Irish volunteers to the City Hall, wheTe it lies in state until Sunday morning, when it -will be removed to'the Cathedral. Apparontly the relatives would'have continued to defy, the authorities, but they were informed that unless the coffin was removed nt 9 o'clock it would be taken to the barracks and buried there. Dublin observed a day of mouruing for M'Swiney. There was a large force of military in the streets to prevent _nrocessions. There was much irritation when a steamer arrived without the coffin. The ipilots at Cork refused to bring the special steamer up the river, and the harbourmaster berthed her. The Sinn Feiners refused to accept the remains in the absence of the relatives. Many thousands, filed past M'Swiney's coffin in the City Hall, Cork. The waiting queue extended for ■ two hundred yards. Business was entirely suspended. Volunteers are marshalling the queue and' maintaining order. The Archbishop of Cashel and the. Bishopa of Kerry and Killaloo have announced thatl they will attend • the funeral. The authorities prior to the postponement bad prohibited the wearing .of republican uniforms, armlets, or badges, and stated that they would not permit republican flags, excepti on the \ coffin. Whenever the funeral occurs the troops will be posted along tho route. They will not interfere with general mourners or obsequies, provided the aforesaid conditions are . observed.
