MILL SERIOUSLY DAMAGED
♦- BY BROKEN" FLYWHEEL ERAGMENTS By Tolcgraph—Press Association. Taumarunui, October 31. Early on Saturday morning a serious acciuou't occurred at Ellis andßiirnnnd's mill, Mununui. The big flywheel nf an engine broke and was stripped to the hub. Fragments wero thrown in all directions, and everything in the line of the engine was razed to the ground. The smoke-stack nearest the engine was struck and seriously damaged, and another large twin-cylinder engine was damaged A piece of rihe flywheel travelled 200 yards, cut its way through a stack of timber, and completely buried itself in the ground., Fortunately no one was injured. The accident will be disastrous to the en' pany and its employees. The .engines are very difficult to replace, and ill is feared that the men will be thrown out of work for some considerable time unless the main engine can be run off one cylinder.
