• Unusual interest was added to the Carterton Show yesterday by tlio visit of the Avro aeroplane, piloted by Captain Russell. Coining .from the direction of Masterton, the machine arrived over the showgrounds at about 5 p.iifc, and after describing a circle over the ring Captain Russell returned.'to Masterton his flight and descent being watched with l«cn interest by hundreds of peoplo on the showgrounds. .. . In'the opinion of a motorist who caine over the Bimutaka Hill recently, the road ■is in a worse condition than in 1914.
