ANNUAL MEETING OF THE ASSO oCIATION. 1

The annual meeting of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association was held last evening. Mr. M. E. Denniston presided. , , ... In speaking to the annual report Mr. B. Ivecsing urged tlmt particular attention should be given this year to junior tennis, and in this respect he regretted that no mention of junior tennis had been made in the annual' report. ■ The following oflicers were elected for the ensuing year.—-Patron. His Excellency the Governor-General, Viscount Jellicoe; president, Mr. H. J. Ohlson; vice-presidents, presidents of the various associations; vice-president of the Lawn Tennis Association of Australia, Mr. 1. J. Ohlson; delegate to the Lawn Tennis Association, Mr. A. E. Benmish;_ delegates to the Lawn. Tennis Association of Australia, Messrs. V. 11. Baxter, 11. S. Fox, Boss Gore, and A. F. Mnnchee; 'management committee, Messrs. 11. jM. Gore, M., E. Denniston, A. G. Henderson, B, Keesing, W. J. Melody, F. I'. Wilson, and S.. A. Longuet; representatives on Olvmpic Council, Messrs. H. M. Gore and ll Keesing; lion, auditor, Mr. F. W. Bevin; secretary and treasurer, Mr- D. Murray Kean. Some discussion took place on the suggestion .from the Wellington Association that not more than one permit should be given to hold tournaments on tho samo day within a reasonable area. Mr. Henderson pointed out that in New Zealand tournaments had to bo held on holidays, and during the summer there >ver& only a limited number of dates available. A motion supporting the suggestion was lost. A motion from the Otago Association that the age of competitors for the Wilding Cup for girls should ho raised from 18 years to 19 was lost..

Voles of thanks to the delegates to the Australian Lawn Tennis Association, to Mr. A. E. Beamish (delegate to tho Lawn Tennis Association), and to Mr. F. W. Bevin (hon. auditor) were carried.
