AN ISLAND BAY CONCERN. ■ The Reserves Committee reported to tho City Council lost evening that they had received a deputation from the Island Bay Electors' Association urging thu formation of a rest park for women ami children on the Town Belt opposite Wakefield Park. Thu committeo were obtaining a report i'roiu the Director of P/irlcs- and Reserves as to the possibility •if making such provision at tho southern end of the land referred to. The matter will be tho subject of a report to tho council at a lator stage.

Councillor J. 0. Shorland reminded the council that when the late Councillor .frost was ohairman of tho Reserves Committee, he had promised that the land proposed to bo converted into golf links 'would be given to residents as a rest park.
