Melbourne, October 23. In the House of Representatives Mr. Tudor's censure motion condemning the Government for not fulfilling its promise to pay ss. per bushel for wlieat was defeated by 10 votes to 18. Mr. Gregory's amendment, to the effect that the Government having gurantecd ss. a bushel for wheat, should arrange payment 'ly cash, provided % world's parity was secured for all wheat, including that fcr local consumption, was* on the same division.—Press Assn.
