On Saturday afternoon Mrs. Telford, senr., and Mr. and Mrs. J, Telford, jimr., presented to Mr. Henry Hanson (president), on behalf of the Newtown Club, a handsome solid silver cup in memory ot Mr. J. Telford, ono of the founders of tl»a club, who continued for many years an active member, both on and oil the ereen, and who died recently. The cup is never to be won outrijint, but each year a small solid silver cup is to be given to the winner of th'o competition, suitably engraved. Mr. Hanson thanked the donors, and the large assembly of visitinc bowlers and club members present marked their appreciation of the gift by giving threo hearts cheers for the Telford family. • < Newtown rinks for Wednesday next aro: —Friendly v.
