AMERICA SEEKS ITS INTERNATIONALISATION. (Rec. October 24, 11.5 p.m.) New York, October 23. It is learned that the United States, at the International Communications Conference, will seek the iutornntionalisation of the Pacific. Island of Yap as a cable landing station. It is understood that the United States desires to prevent Japan securing exclusive control over the cables entoring and branching off from Yap. Japan claims that the Supreme Peace Council gave, her Yap's control as part of her mandatories over former German Pacific islands north of the Equator. The United States contends that Yap's final disposition was to be left till the International Communications Conference.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Awn.
