The Surrey arrived yesterday from Auckland with New York cargo for discharge here. She discharged 20C0 tons of cargo, including 13.000 cases of benzine, 250 tons of railway iron, and 400 motor-cars and tractors. After discharging hero the vessel goes to Sydnev and Brisbane. Captain A. Fleming 1b still in command of the vessel. WESTRALIA FOR MELBOURNE. The Huddnrt-Parker steamer Wcßtralia is timed to leave at 5 o'clock to-night for Melbourne. WHARF CONGESTION AT AUCKLAND. Lately the congestion of tho wharves at Auckland has been very marked, and vessels have been held up for four or flva days. A typical instance iB that of. the Matatua, which arrived at Auckland la'«t Sunday from Wellington, but was unable to berth until Thursday. Many oversea vcßßels for Wellington, including the West Holbroolt, Port Victor, Port Stephens. Surrey, and Kent, were delayed at Auckland through the congestion. Of these the Kent and Surrey are in port, and the others are expected olthor to-morrow or on Monday. •'

THE NELSON BOATS. Owing to the holiday on Monday the Kaitoa and Nikau will each miss a trip from Wellington to Nelson nerfc week.
