DEATH OF A WIDOW
« Vestorday afternoon, Mr, J. S. Evans, S.M., held an inquest into the cause of denth of Margaret Annie Workman, a widow, nbont 40 years of ago, which took placo at No 2 Mount Street on Tuesday evening la6t. ' It was stated by Mrs Elizabeth Workman, mother-in-law of tho decreased, that tho deceased had lived with her three-year-old son at. 72 King Street, Christ-church, since tho death of her husband about two years ago. Witnesslast saw her daughter-in-law alivo about three weeks ago, when she complained of having suffered'from influenza. She stated then that she Intended to tako a-trip to Auckland later on. At this 6tago the inquest was adjourned to a dato to bo fixed. Chief Detcctivo Ward appealed for the police.
