CANTERBURY'S CLAIM. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, October 21. ■ At the annual meeting of the Canter, bury Rowing Association to-night, the Akaroa Boating Cluh requested that tlio "Dominion championship regatta h; held at Akaroa this season, and it was decided to support the application. In a subsequent discussion it was mentioned "that it was fourteen years since a championship reffatta had be>>n held in Canterbury, and the general opinion was expressed that it was 'up to" Canterbury to jret the championship meeting this year. 1
