STRONG HOPES FOR KING'S RECOVERY. London, October 18. The Greek Legation states that a regency in the event of n vacancy of tho throne has not been contemplated, as there are very strong hopes for the King's recovery. Tho Government has only discussed the establishment of a regency to deal with current affairs iln the King's name while His Majesty is unable to attend to State affairs.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. CONDITION REPORTED TO BE WORSE. (Rec. October 19, 10.30 p.m.) Athens, October IS. Tho Kine's condition is worse.. He has developed congestion of the lungs. The newspaper "Heatia" corrects previous versions of the incidevt. It appears that when a female monkey' attacked the King's wolfhound the King attempted to separate them, upon which a.male monkey leapt from a tree, and savagely ripped- tho King's thigh and hand. The doctors, suspecting insanity, killed tho monkey.—"The Times."
