MISSING AIRMEN
SEARCH ABANDONED. Melbourne, October 19. The search for Captain Stutt and Sergeant Dalzie'll has been abandoned. There is no trace of the missing airmen or the machine.—Press Assn. - TCaptain W. Stutt and his mechanic, Sergeant J. Dalziell, were engaged in a search for the missing schooner Amelia J. They were last seen oft the northwest coast of Tasmania on September 23. Captain Stutt' was one of the most experienced and competent pilots in Australia, and had done probably more' flying than any other Australian airman. Prior to the war he was a test pilot with the Bristol Company in England, and was engaged by the War Office for the testing of military machines and delivering them to the Flying Covps in France. In 1916 he was engaged by the New South Wales Government to establish the State aerodrome at Richmond, and last year' became officer in charge of the repair section at Point Cook military aerodrome. He was educated at Xavier College, Kew, and is married.] .
