The Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society's spring show will bo held at the Hastings Show Ground on Wednesday and Thursday next, October 20 and 21. The Railways Department has made special arrangements for tho conveyance of patrons, and holiday excursion tiokcts have been issued, available for return up to and including October 27. The entries this year constitute a record, and visitors to the show can depend upon being well entertained. All sections of the catalogue have brought good entries, and the competitions section, which is always so popular with tho visiting public, has _ attracted a large number of competitors. The society anticipates that this year the attendance will surpass all previous years.
The Wanganui Agricultural Association's annual show will be held on tho Racecoturse, Wanganm, on November 17 and 18. Tho prize money offered totals .£IBOO. Entries will closo on November G, and schedules and entry forms may be obtained from Jlr. P. G. Seddon, secretary, P.O. Box 152, Wanganui.
