STRIKES IN BOMBAY
INCITED BY NATIONALIST AGENTS Simla, October 14 There have been' significant happenings in Bombay lately. There have been several sporadic strikes, and'one result was- that tho city was plunged in darkness for several days. Nationalist political ogents incited the dock labourers to refuse to handle Indian focd products intended for export, declaring that famine existed in tho interior, Meantime the leading Indian merchants have signed a manifesto in favour of boycotting ■tlw new Council. The object of these agitator's is to make the inauguration of 'reforms a fiasco. Similar strikes have occurred at Calcutta—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ' /
