The totalisator handled £27,670, against £23,618 for the first day last yoar. ... In tho Trial Stakes the Linacre colt Dunedin was made a hot order, and he had no difficulty In pulling his backers through. Shamrock and Melting Moment were guickeßt to begin, and they led the favourite into tho straight'. Dunedin then ran to the front, and won very comfortably from Melting Moment, who beat Shamrock by a head. Kildee was fourth. . Fisher was a better favourite than tho Kemball bracket in the Jumpers Flat Handicap, which proved the best of good things for Gladful. who nave tho field a big start down the back, but beat them point,leks in the straight. Mill o uowrie made tho. paco to the turn, but then **1 ful came from the rear, and won pulling up from Revocation, who beat Mill o Gowrle by a neck. Meltchikoff fourth. . . ... ' The Flying Handicap was a good bettint, raco Rouen being a few pounds butter favourite than the Kemball pair. Murihlku and Sweet Memory led Litcul an and l'igritiya into the straight with tho others bunched. In the run home Lucullan took ohirgo,. but over the last bit he was challongwl by Miss Gold, and after L great finish the latter only fallod by a ad. Tigritiya was close un. and then came Jutland and Rouen. Nursing Sistcr nnd Matatua were badly left. Galore and La l'aloma were withdrawn from the Lawn Handicap. The nubile made the bracket a, very solid favourite, but both were comfortably defeated. Rebuff led Miss Maid down the back, but across tho bottom Piropiro ran to the front. Strategy and Lord Astolat led into, t-no straight, but tho former then retired Blackhead put in a good dfort at th# finish, but he could not reach the leading pair, Amborine winning by a neck from ftatatane was a good favourite in the Welter Handicap, and she scored by a narrow margin from an outsider in Sycorax. Kipling on the inside began smartly, and with the favourite led till well down the straight. The JjJter then took charge, but over the laßfc bit she -was doing her boßt *4 beat Sycorax, who finished well. Kipling was third, Old Gold next. , , , Caricature, Bonnie Briar, and the coupled Kemball pair Yasllkov and Martian Jliss carried the bulk of the money in the Farewell Handicap. They had to go under at tho finish to Canyon, who pulled to the front at the home bend, and came on and won by a good length from Martian Miss, who just managed to hold Caricature in check over the last bit. Ronnie Briar waa fourth.

Suimy Corner, from a slow start, ran half a. mile in 53 4-ssec. Malaga required lmiu. 9sec. to get over five furlongs./ Warlovo did steady work., Kiirush finished well at the end of six furlongs, covered in Imin, 23 4-ssec., with Loyal Arch. •• Amythas broke' away from the seven furlongs post, and waß picked up by Humboldt at the half-mile, 'l'hey ran the last four furlongs in 63sec, and Amythas covered tho full distance in lmiu. 32 l-ssec., after taking 13sec. to the first furlong.
