POLICE AND CIVIL BUSINESS. Mr. F. K. Hunt, 1 S.M., dealt with the polico business at the Mauistrate's Court yesterday. William *L. Pollock was fined 40b. for buing found drunk ill Riddiford Street while in charire of two horses and a cart loaded with timber. Ou a charge ot using olisceno language, he was couvicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. Convicted of drunkenness '(his third offence). Edward J. Qurvey was fined 10s„ and a. prohibition order was issued affainnt him. Joseph Carroll was lined 10s. on being convicted of drunkenness for the second time within six months. CIVIL BUSINESS. Mr. J.
