EVIDENCE REGARDING THE 1917 STRIKE. (Rec. Ootober 15, 1.15 a.m.) Sydney, Ootober 14. Evidence given beforo the Railway Commission showed that 21,592 employees left work during the great strike in 1917, of whom 20,292 were dismissed, but 18,341 wore re-employed, while 19,784 remained loyal to tho oommisslonera and continued woek.—Press Abso.
