Limited, report Uaviniz received the following cablegram from their London office under date of October 1:—"Wool sales continued without improvement, and competition was hesitating; 87,500 bales were offered about [ half of which were sold. Ab compared with last sales' closint? rata merino Biiper, 15 per c'ont. lower; merino of other dej Bcript-ionn. 15 per cent, to 20 per cent. ' lower; crossbred, fine quality, 10 per cent, to lb per cent, lower; Crossbred wools medium and. coarse quality neglected, [ nominally 10 per cent, lower." Jleßsrs. Murray, vltoberts. and Co.. Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their. London agents. Mcsrs. Saniier- ) son, Murray, and Co., dated October 1:— j "Sales have closed. Compared with last London sales' closing rale* merino superior declined 15 per cent.; merln. other descriptions, declined 15 per cent; to 20 per oont.; crossbred, line, declined 10 per cent, to IS per cent.; crossbred, medium, no demand; crossbred, coarse, no demand; i both nominally, 10 per cent, to 15 per cent, lower." • The Bank of New Zealand has received l the following ndviofi'froin'its London office, 1 under date October I:—"The sales have closed weak, and withdrawals are heavy. ; Prices for practically all descriptions nro 5 per cent., lower, compared with the openIns of this series. Current prices:— "Coarse crossbred, 15-40' quality, average condition, laid.: medium crosbred, 44-46's quality, average condition, 16d. to lßct.: I fine crossbred. 50's quality, average condition, 24d. to 23d.: inferior merinop, M-M'b common average condition, 24d, to 28d.: superior merinos, 6Wu super, avoraqe condition, 45d. to. 40d.; half or quarterbred, E6'b average condition. 31d. to 40d. • Medium coarse crossbrcda—prices are too Irregular to quote fairly." The Now Zealand T/cHOT' Slid Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram, from their London houso under'uSte October 1:—"Wool sales closed, about half withdrawn. Guperfine merino h 15 per cent., and other qualities 15 per cent, to 20 per,-«out. t lower: flno crossbred. (J ner cent, to 15 a per cent, lower; medium" and coareo nro f neglected; nominally, 10 "or cent, lower. Itahbitsklns: Better descriptions are in " good demand. I'or inferior sorts the f market iB slow, but steady for sood - qualities. Medium has declined JO nr.t t eont. and Inferior 25 p»r cent, j. Mossrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., have ref ceived the following cablegram trom Lon--1 don, dated October 2, 1920 :-"Wod1 Bales have closed. As compared with opening t prices merinoj are 2Jd, lower; fine cross, r bredß, 3d. lower; medium and coarae oroasj breda are neglected and nominally" 2d. , lower. Only 40,000 bale* were Bold at t,ho Beries out of 90.000 bales offered."
