On the first, day ho was placed "Bccond to Actricu, although his rider thought ho had won comfortably,- and on the second day ho waa again in tho position of runner-up behind Rathlin. Fulsome, winner of tho Prince of Walts Stakeß at Napier, ia evidently very speedy. The full sister to Humbug gave promise in July, but after that she developed a cold and had to be stopped in her work. She was regarded as backward on Saturday, fo the race should improve her a good deal. ■It was stated some time ago ,aays a Sydney writer) that commissions _ were placed for the rurohase for India of Gloaming and Amythas, and now a Melbourne paper Bays ■ that an unlimited commission to purchase Amythas was entrusted to Captain K.
