SOME LOCAL BILLS PASSED
: ■ House of Representatives sat for slightly over two hours last night. After a few, questions had been asked and answered, the Pritae Minister made a statement regarding the purchase of railway rolling stock. " supplementary order papers containing Ministers' answers to questions of which members had given notice during the Inst fortnight: were circulated. Pppatunity was given for tho discussion o( these answers, but the House was W in a very talkative mood.
The eight local Bills on the Order Paper were put through all stages, and passed with very little discussion.
